National Safe Boating Week Begins<br />

As the ice comes off more Minnesota lakes, safety officials are highlighting Saturday's start to National Safe Boating Week.
    
The St. Paul District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the best thing a person can do to stay safe on the water is to wear a life vest or personal flotation device.
    

Wild Wild Western Golf Shootout Set

This year the ElK River Chamber Golf Committee is planning a fun day on the course with a "wild west" theme. Come dressed in your cowboy hat and boots and you have a chance to win the "Best Duds" contest.

The Wild Wild Western Shootout will be held June 13, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be at the Riverwood National Golf Club in Otsego.

Health Officials: Hepatitis C Test Needed for MN Baby Boomers

Attention baby boomers - have you been tested for hepatitis C lately?

The Minnesota Department of Health is reminding people born from 1945 through 1965 to be tested for hepatitis C. The reminder comes for national hepatitis awareness month.

Currently, about 39,000 people statewide are living with the virus.

3 Injured in Sherburne County Car vs. School Bus Crash

Three people were injured Thursday after a car crashed into a school bus loaded with passengers.

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on the 21300 block of County Road 5 in Big Lake Township. There were about 30 passengers on the bus at the time.
